These are simply the most beautiful Rudraksha Malas we have ever seen! They are skillfully strung in garlands of the traditional 108 beads. Using only small Rudraksha seeds, which are said to be the most powerful, are used.
Malachite is set as the counter bead and is known as the "stone of transformation". It is especially helpful in bringing ease during times of change and gives the insight needed for personal growth.
Malas traditionally used to count rotations of the breath, or repetitions of a mantra.
The old stories have it that God himself, in the form of Lord Shiva, wept over seeing the plight of humanity mired in materialism. A single tear fell to the earth and from this sprouted the first Rudraksha Tree, a sign of His compassion. The seeds are said to be sacred, and to contain many beneficial powers. Seeds of the Rudraksha tree have been used in malas since ancient times, adorning sages and saints seeking enlightenment and liberation.
